The Setting
The historic Sonoma City Hall (pictured) is literally steps away from Your Sonoma Wedding venue. The plaza that encircles this historic building includes the northernmost Spanish mission in California, the barracks that hosted the Spanish troups before California was acquired by the United States, as well as cute shops, fine wine country restaurants, and tasting rooms.
The Sonoma League for Historic Preservation, established in 1969, operates the Maysonnave House with trained docents and offers tours, educational programs, and special events to enhance the public's understanding and appreciation of what makes historic Sonoma Valley so special.
The League is devoted to protecting and sharing Sonoma's unique cultural heritage and its historic buildings for the enjoyment and benefit of the Sonoma Valley community and visitors from around the world.

The Historic Town

The Natural Environment
The Sonoma Valley is blessed with hundreds of miles of hiking trails just steps away in some cases (see picture of the Sonoma Overlook Trail that overlooks the town of Sonoma) or within 10-20 minutes by car. City, county, and state parks dot the valley and the near surroundings.
Your guests who like outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, ballooning, as well as historical sightseeing (see below), fine dining, and of course wine tasting will be well served.
The Historic Area
Sonoma is one of the most historic towns in all of California.
It's where the Bear Flag Revolt occurred before California became a state (see the statue).
It's where the northernmost (last) Spanish mission was built, on a corner of what would become Sonoma Plaza. Because of this history, part of our town plaza is a State Park.
